Introduction to Sashiko (traditional Japanese hand quilting
on indigo fabric). Learn to hand stitch evenly and make the
lovely geometric designs with picturesque names such as Paving
Stones and Double Star. The price of the class includes all
materials: pre-stamped indigo fabric with four different designs,
Japanese thread, needles, dish-shaped thimble, plus directions
for completing a small oriental-style wall hanging. You will
find that sashiko stitching is an exciting embellishment to
your quilts and a completely portable craft that makes truly
beautiful objects.
