Learn to Hand Quilt

 

Come and 'take a sit' as we explore hand quilting. Learn about threads and needles and all the tools that make the job easier. Hand quilting is a social art and you'll get lots of individualized attention from Pepper as you begin the adventure. Learn the traditional running stitch and Big Stitch and how to work with a thimble as your friend. A quilting hoop is free with the class.

Offered at two times
Tuesday, for four weeks.
Afternoon session is from 1pm - 4 pm, May 20, 27, June 3 and 17th (skip June 10th)

Evening session is the same dates but from 6pm - 9 pm

Exploring Black and White Quilts

The combination black plus white always looks fresh and modern and is very popular in quilting right now. But many folks have gathered black and white fabrics and don't know where to start their quilt! This one-day design workshop will help you understand the role of contrast and the subtlety of working with this graphic palette. Get help with understanding and sorting your stash, and begin your own black and white masterpiece! With the class you'll receive several graphs of possible quilts for black and white fabrics, and a magazine with inspiring ideas.

Little Silhouette House Quilt

This small wall hanging makes a wonderful gift! All blocks are machine-sewn and Pepper explains the easy way to paper-piece for precision effect with hands-on demonstration. She supplies four ready to sew pre-printed House patterns and nine little Economy blocks. You come with your own selection of fabrics.
